 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Market research, comparative/industry analysis
  • Analyzing investment opportunities across multiple asset classes and industries
  • Assist in development of additional investment targets for Paceline (e.g., complete analysis of industries that may warrant focused deal creation efforts)
  • Preparation of presentation materials to investment committee, fund investors, and portfolio company Boards of Directors
  • Significant participation in leading deal due diligence and manage outside service providers
  • Creation and review of regular cash flows, budgets, business and operating plans for fund investments
  • Work with management teams and Boards of Directors in developing and executing major strategic or financial initiatives (e.g., acquisitions, refinancings)
  • Monitoring and reporting on the fund’s investments
  • Maintain relationships with management teams, investors, investment bankers, lenders, consultants, etc.
  • Financial and valuation modeling

Skill & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience within private equity, asset management, credit investing, strategic consulting, investment banking or corporate finance / valuation teams. Experience in mergers and    acquisitions and corporate credit is beneficial
  • Outstanding academic results and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics from a leading academic institution
  • Highly numerate with developed quantitative capabilities; demonstrable financial modeling and evaluation skills are critical. In particular, a good understanding of underwriting, acquiring, and restructuring distressed investments is important
  • Extraordinary focus on details, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast moving entrepreneurial environment that focuses on investing opportunistically 
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working on several projects in conjunction with one another
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills are required
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and other financial information sources
